Let me preface everything I’m about to write by saying that I like Frank Buglioni as a person – he’s one of the loveliest guys you could hope to meet in boxing & in life. I feel compelled to write this because I care about his well-being & I care about the rigidity & authenticity of our sport. I hope he takes what I have to say in the spirit in which it is intended.Frank Buglioni will challenge for a ‘world title’ when the 26 year old fights Fedor Chudinov on July 24. Buglioni is at best the #6 super middleweight in the United Kingdom – I actually have him at #9 – behind less heralded, but more accomplished fighters such as Jahmaine Smyle, Luke Blackledge & Liam Cameron – none of whom are expecting a world title shot anytime soon.
