In 2012 whilst on a training camp out in the United States, he was fortunate enough to get some quality sparring at Edwin Valeros gym with some professional Mexican fighters and embark in some training at the world renowned ‘Wild Card Gym‘ with the likes of trainer Freddie Roach and former world champion and Olympic Silver medalist Amir Khan.

Time to put the ‘Lights’ on.

Success breeds success.  It’s not just a saying. It shows. Just look at Gallaghers Gym in Bolton and there long running successful stable of British, Commonwealth,  interim, international and world champions.

In the United Kingdom over recent years we have had a flourish in lightweight talent. Amir Khan came back from his unexpected knockout loss to Breidis Prescott by 2 fights later winning a world title at Lightweight. Continue reading

Who is the UK’s best active fighter?

Anyone who knows me well will know that there is not a lot I get more excited about than talking about boxing.
