So who wins if the 2 giants of world heavyweight boxing collide? Anthony Joshua or Deontay Wilder??
Here at GWBOXING we aren’t really taking Joseph Parker seriously as a world title holder until he fights either Wilder or Joshua simply because no one on either side of the pond is really that interested in what he is doing.
His closely fought encounter with Hughie Fury proved that he isn’t a world above the competition and that ladies and gentlemen, leaves 2. The Bronze Bomber and AJ.
It looks as though all roads lead to each other and 1 more fight each will likely lead to a summer showdown on UK soil.
The only real stumbling block maybe if David Haye beats Tony Bellew and an all British encounter is sanctioned for Wembley stadium and the winner would no doubt then lure wilder to the same venue.
But right now the talk is Joshua vs Wilder.
AJ had a more reserved outing recently against Takam which many believed was stopped early (including me). This has stoked the fire that Wilder may be the better fighter and win a potential match up.
Which leads me to my verdict.
I have come to the conclusion that Anthony Joshua Wins by KO and early.
Based on what?
Based on the fact that Wilder hasn’t beaten any fighters which I would consider to be ‘ elite level’ fighters whilst Joshua has now beaten Klitschko and Takam. I don’t believe Wilder to be a particularly gifted boxer considering the level he is supposed to be operating at and doesn’t do the basics very well. If Joshua is robotic as he is often accused of being I believe he will walk Wilder down and knock him out early. If he boxes with flair and movement he can have the same result just as fast!
I also believe Dillian Whyte to be better than any of Wilder’s opponents to date and Joshua dealt with him also in fashionable style.
Wilder does have wins over Stiverne and Arreola on his record but I strongly believe that Dillian Whyte beats both comfortably as does Joshua.
